Art in the Valley Gala Event

Nicole Lorraine

Born and raised in Smiths Falls Ontario, Nicole has always been a creative person whether in dancing, singing, photography or art. Nicole moved to Ottawa to attend Algonquin College and completed numerous creative diplomas. While establishing roots within the city, she launched a photography and content creation company all while starting a family. Over the years while growing with her family she has became an entrepreneur and advocate for women’s mental health and self love. Like many others the pandemic forced her companies to be put on pause. While trying to keep busy she began to explore painting.  With the encouragement of her therapist and loved one’s, Nicole began to learn more and more about art therapy. It didn’t take long before she fell completely in love with painting and learning all about the different genres, techniques and never ending creative possibilities.

“Every I paints, it is a gift to herself. Being a mother, partner, entrepreneur and neurodivergent individual, her ever busy mind always has a mile long to-do list ready and waiting. With her creative projects, she gives herself and those who enjoy her art the permission to be perfectly imperfect.”

As things slowly begin to reopen she looks forward to combining all of her creative loves to grow as an artist.
